Dr S J Balaparameswara Rao is a Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon and Managing Director of City Neuro Care Rajahmundry. He has an exemplary academic background. He did his MBBS in Gandhi Medical College, Secunderabad from the year 2004 to 2010. He later did his MS General Surgery from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad between 2011 to 2014. He later secured All India 2nd Rank in national entrance test for the prestigious NIMHANS ( National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences ), Bangalore where he pursued MCh in Neurosurgery from the year 2014 to 2017. He later did his Senior Residency in the same Institute. He later did a fellowship in Spine Surgery in Coimbatore under Dr JKBC Parthiban who is a member of WFNS Spine Committee. He later worked as a Consultant Neurosurgeon in Hyderabad and later moved to Rajahmundry and worked as a Faculty in Neurosurgery in GSL Medical College, Rajahmundry from 2020 to 2023 before starting his own advanced neuro care center , City Neuro Care Rajahmundry in July 2023. In this long span of about 11 years in the field of Neurosurgery he has done more than 2000 Neurosurgeries from basic to advanced with a remarkable recovery rate. He has also published papers in National and International Journals and has presented papers in National and International Conferences. His fields of interest are Microvascular and Skull Base Neurosurgery. He specializes in complex spine surgeries and endoscopic spine surgeries. He is well known among his patients for utmost care during and after surgeries and his detailed and frank discussions regarding the condition of the patients, treatment options and outcomes.
